| Hello Ryslig and welcome to a player plot: The Most Dangerous Game. Inspired by the short story of the same name, characters will be invited to the Island of Brasa by the mysterious Dr. Zaroff Rainsford. While a respected member of the community (and known in Bavan as an eccentric in a town of eccentrics), he tends to stay by himself and his few servants when he is not preforming in the hospital. His renowned medical skills have earned him a lot of money and respect, and his tendency to explore his world has lead him to establish a base on Brasa to remove himself from people (despite his ability and skills to heal, he is known to prefer to be by himself when not preforming). The active volcano, however, does give him a bit more unique weather conditions, and the hundreds of tunnels dotting the island allows him to continue with his favorite pastime; hunting. A big game hunter the likes of what was popular in the 1950's, he is a man with a large rifle and a lot of trophies. After the arrival of the second group, he will send out an invitation on the 16th to come to his home in the mansion both to preform a series of tests in hopes of discovering a cure for them, and to relax away from the city. Characters do not have to accept his hospitality, but hey, in a world where people look at you strangely, why not accept someone who wishes to understand and aid you? The event takes place in three days: the 17th is the arrival; characters will be taken to his mansion by boat that's almost like a castle. Manservants will tend on them and there are enough rooms for however many people end up showing. Blood tests and official examinations will be preformed for those who wish to take them. There will be a banquet for everyone and those who are usually hungry for human meat will find that their urges are subdued; when questioned about it, he will mention that he is also a practitioner of magic, and has enchanted the meat in the hopes that it might aid them (But really, it's just human pieces). Everyone will fall asleep, partly due to the calming atmosphere, partly because of the drugs in the food (WOOPS!) The 18th and continuing on towards the 19th, characters will wake up in the underground mazes, a good half-day away from any sunlight. I will provide a visual map, and each character will be randomized in it, and with a random item. Light will be provided by some of the flowing lava from the volcano. Obviously, minotaurs will have an advantage and will be able to aid others, but they will need to fend off nasty and dangerous underground creatures and Rainsford's wolf-dog hounds...and maybe each other. Try not to give into your own urges... Dr. Zaroff Rainsford will eventually explain via radios found in the underground that he is a follower of the Fog God, and believes in the survival of the strongest. He has been kidnapping fellow humans for a good ten years, people that were thought to have died under an operation he preformed, but really brought here to be hunted down one by one. He has grown bored even of this, and the new arrivals provide him with a far greater challenge. To prove his devotion, he plans to kill all of them and hang them up as his newest trophies, to showcase his strength. I will be pick four characters to face off against him from all who sign up. The fate of the character will be up to them, HOWEVER note that if you sign up and you are part of the group, there is a chance your character WILL DIE I will randomize two out of the four characters for death (or, if you get picked and want them to die, you can simply PM me, even better!). Depending on what the characters do, they may end up with someone who can provide them food and a place to stay, or they can take over and do as they please as the new lords of his mansion. Do you want to take the risk and end up with a shiny manor? Now's your chance! Anyone else who is not part of the group will be invited to either fight each other, or fight the various creatures that will be in the caverns (I will provide a list for you). Not to mention the traps and hounds that will pursue them. TLDR Version: - Well-known doctor invites everyone to meet up at his island - Feeds them with both animal and human meat and sleeping drugs - Everyone wakes up the next day in the maze caverns - People will work in groups to overcome obstacles, lava and underground creatures, along with the doctor's servants, traps, and wolf-hounds. - Four people who sign up will face against the doctor and will decide his fate (eat him, spare him, etc). Out of those who sign up, two will die, and if you sign up, you agree that your character may stand a chance of dying. | |||
